Anthony lived his whole life in downtown Jersey City. He was known as the "mayor of Division St." which is where he lived his whole life. He was many things in his life including a junk man and a landlord.
It says on the 1900 census that Tony along with his mother and father and James, John and Daniel lived at 442 Fifth St. downtown Jersey City.
The marriage information was taken from an Italian marriage certificate from, and I quote, "Chiesa Italiana del Santissimo Rosario". Bob D'Amato (RIN 1) has two of these (originals).
6/9/04 - In the 1930 Census/NJ it says that Mary immigrated to the US in 1919...hmmm
Marietta came over from Italy as a girl, around the age of 12. From the marriage certificate it says that Maria's name was Maria DeMiglio daughter of Guiseppe and Rachele Gallucci. Maria was born in the town Aprigliano in the Province of Cosenza in the Region of Calabria.

Edward worked for the Pennsylvania Rail Road for his entire life. When he got married he was either a barge captain or a tugboat captain. He spent the first couple of years of marriage on the boat and had to relocate to a house after his first two children, Edward and Irene were born.4/16/96-Speaking with Irene Green Ruggiero this evening and she mentioned several things. One, that Anna and Edward were (she doesn't think) married in a church the first time they got married. Second, Irene said that her parents got married again when Anna was pregnant with Irene. She suggested that the second wedding may have happened at Our Lady of Grace Church in Hoboken, NJ or at St. Lawrence church in Weehawken, NJ. No one knows for sure.
12/11/99-Recently, about two months ago received the Social Security application back from the SSA for Edward Green. The birth and death dates are the same as my Grandfather's - I'm assuming it's the same person. On the SS-5 Edward Louis Green lists his father's name as Edward Green and his mother's name as Carrie Jarrard. It also says that he was born in South Amboy, NJ. It looks like this application was from his current place of employment, which it says on the SS-5, the American Lead Pencil Co. on Willow Ave.
South Amboy is in Middlesex County.
In the 1920 census dated 11 January 1920 it states that Anna was 3 8/12 on her last birthday and that she was born in New Jersey. Grandma died of cancer of the mouth and Grandma died from second hand smoke.
