Rosario came over from Salerno Italy in 1879 (From the 1900 census ). When he was a boy, around 8 or 9 years old. He had one leg and was junk man.

09/24/04 Rosario and family in the 1910 Census:

Says Roselo Demoddo -

9. Maria Fornino

Maria (also name from Census sheet) was from Connecticut. She came over from Italy
in 1889 (from the 1900 Census). We're still not sure how Maria met Rosario (her husband).

Still checking on this.

10. Giuseppe DeMiglio

10/27/2003 - Talked to Joseph DeMiglio this past Friday (10/24/2003) and he said that Guiseppe came over with his children then went to California to work on the highway construction out there. He then went back to Italy and lost his money when the Wall Street crash made the lire crash also.

This needs some clarification from Cousin Joe - I can't remember everything he told me.

11. Rachele Gallucci

Rachel and Joseph were married in Italy. Joseph came over first with son Anthony and then the rest of the family came over in 1920.

I have a picture of Rachel at Sardi's wedding in 1949 so she died in 1949 or after.

Found in the 1920 Census an Edward Green E.D. 66/Sheet 23B line 100 - Hoboken City. It says that both of his parents were born in New York, that he is married and that he owns his house free and clear.

12/11/99-Recently, about two months ago received the Social Security application back from the SSA for Edward Green. The birth and death dates are the same as my Grandfather's - I'm assuming it's the same person. On the SS-5 Edward Louis Green lists his father's name as Edward Green and his mother's name as Carrie Jarrard. It also says that he was born in South Amboy, NJ. It looks like this application was from his current place of employment, which it says on the SS-5, the American Lead Pencil Co. on Willow Ave.

Thomas and Louise are buried in Holy Name cemetary in N. Arlington, NJ. [Block 26, Section C, Tier F, grave 24 - Thomas and Louise are buried here (only)] From a conversation with Estelle Stratton Hassell Siebert (Grandma Green's niece - who is basically the same line as my mother) Thomas bought the grave on June 8, 1931. 5/28/2000-Spoke with Jackie Knowles Finney today and she gave me lots of good info. Here's her address:
1401 Emporia
Apt. 510
Aurora, CO 80010

Spoke with Connie Haydt on the phone (6/6/00) and she said that Louise had 24 children!

She said that Louise was the oldest child, then there was Josephine, then Tessie (Tarasea Barbara), then Jeanette (Jenny) and Emil Dominick. Their parents names were Joseph and Mary Metziere. Joseph and Mary met on the boat to Ellis Island.

Thomas bought the grave on June 8. 1931. His address at the time was 47 Chestnut St., Weehawken, NJ.
