Archives of Mulhouse. I find the wedding act (n. 225) from Dominique
METZIER, son of Dominique METZIER and Marie Félicitée MOUGIN, with Reine
ECK, dressmaker, daughter of Benoit ECK and Catarina GOTTIER.Dominique is born 05.03.1834 in Thann (near Mulhouse) and Reine ECK
11.06.1833 in Soultz (not very far from Mulhouse).There was no wedding contract.
The witnesses are ; Jean ALBERT, 46 years, Pierre MARCK, 28 years,
Joseph SCHLAGETER, Georges FRITZ, 23 years. The last three are sign in
german writing. They were all in weawing factory.Fathers'Dominique was in a smelting works and died on 21.12.1843
in Rouffach ; his mother, Catherine GOTTIER died in 13.06.1847 also in
Rouffach.I also find death act (n. 118) of Marie Félicitée MOUGIN. She died
on 26.02.1843 in Mulhouse and was 36 years old. She is born in an other
department about 1807.If you need further informations about the weddings'parents, I can

6/17/02 - Concerning Benedictus Benoit ECK (dead in 1843 in Rouffach) I have found that
